Roman Baths Wedding Photographer | Gemma & Rhys’s Intimate March Wedding
The Roman Baths is one of the most unique places to get married in the UK. Right in the centre of Bath, surrounded by ancient stone and rising steam, it feels like stepping into another world. When Gemma and Rhys chose it for their wedding, I knew it was going to be a beautifully intimate celebration.
Their ceremony took place early in the morning, just as the city was waking up. The Baths were quiet, still and full of atmosphere. With a small group of close family and friends gathered around the Great Bath, the setting couldn’t have been more special. It was calm, emotional and filled with little moments that said a lot without needing to be loud.
Gemma and Rhys kept things simple and personal. There were no big distractions—just meaningful vows, lots of emotion and a real focus on the people who matter most to them. After the ceremony, we explored the Baths for some portraits, then wandered through the streets of Bath while they were still quiet and bathed in soft March light.
Photographing smaller weddings like this is something I really love. There’s space for things to unfold naturally, and I can quietly document what’s really happening. The Roman Baths is the perfect backdrop for that kind of approach. It’s full of history, but it also feels intimate and timeless.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Roman Baths, whether it’s just the two of you or a small group of loved ones, and you want natural photography that captures the real feel of the day, I’d love to hear from you.
