Roman Baths Wedding Photographer
Gemma & Rhys’s Intimate March Wedding
The Roman Baths is one of the most iconic and atmospheric wedding venues in the UK. Right in the heart of Bath, surrounded by ancient stone and rising steam, it feels like a step back in time. When Gemma and Rhys chose it for their wedding, I knew it was going to be something truly special—intimate, emotional and full of character.
Their ceremony took place early in the morning, as the city slowly came to life. The Baths were quiet and still, filled with soft light and history. With just a handful of close family and friends gathered around the Great Bath, it was calm and beautifully personal. Every look and gesture carried meaning, and it was a privilege to capture it all as it unfolded.
Gemma and Rhys kept their day simple and heartfelt. No distractions, no rush—just genuine emotion, thoughtful vows and time spent with the people who matter most. After the ceremony, we explored the Baths for some portraits before wandering through the streets of Bath while they were still peaceful in the soft March light.
Smaller weddings like this are some of my favourites to photograph. They have a relaxed rhythm that allows for real, honest moments. The Roman Baths suits that perfectly—it’s rich in history, yet it offers such a quiet intimacy that feels timeless.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Roman Baths, whether it’s just the two of you or a small gathering, and you’d like natural, relaxed photography that captures the atmosphere and emotion of the day, I’d love to hear from you.
