Planning your wedding can be overwhelming, and it’s natural to have lots of questions about photography. At Greenhill Wedding Photography, I aim to make the process simple and stress-free. On this page, you’ll find answers to the most common questions I get from couples in Bristol, the South West, and beyond — from packages and pricing to engagement shoots, photography style, and what happens on the big day.
Whether you’re looking for full-day coverage, a documentary-style approach, or a smaller elopement package, this FAQ will guide you and help you feel confident in your choice. If your question isn’t here, don’t hesitate to get in touch — I’m always happy to chat!
-
I specialise in relaxed, natural documentary wedding photography. I focus on capturing authentic moments as they unfold, telling the true story of your day without awkward posing or forced smiles. Expect warm, timeless images full of emotion.
-
I’ve been photographing weddings for nearly 10 years, across Bristol, the South West, and further afield. That experience ensures I can handle every moment of your day, from family portraits to spontaneous, candid shots.
-
Packages are based on weddings within 1 hour of central Bristol, but I regularly photograph weddings in Somerset, the Cotswolds, Devon, South Wales, and beyond. If your wedding is further afield, just send me a message for a custom quote — I’m always happy to travel.
-
Absolutely. Love is love. Whatever your celebration looks like, I’ll document it naturally, respectfully, and joyfully.
-
Yes. Engagement sessions help you relax in front of the camera and create beautiful images for invitations or your wedding website. These can be included in most packages or added as a bespoke extra.
-
I offer packages for:
Full-day weddings (8–10 hours)
Half-day coverage for smaller weddings or elopements.
All packages are fully customisable, so you can choose coverage length, extras like albums or a second photographer, and anything else that fits your day.
-
Prices vary depending on coverage, number of photographers, and extras:
Short coverage (3-4 hours): from £600
Full-day (8–10 hours): £1145-1400
Extras like engagement shoots, albums, or second photographers can affect the final price. For a tailored quote, it’s best to contact me directly.
-
You can add a second photographer if you’d like. I’ve always been confident shooting solo, but for larger weddings or extra coverage, it’s available to ensure every moment is captured.
-
Absolutely! Whether you’ve seen something on Pinterest, Google, or just had an idea, send it over. I love bringing your ideas to life, creating photos you’ll treasure now and in 50 years.
-
Yes. The booking deposit is £100. The rest can be paid in one go or spread out in instalments. The deposit is non-refundable, and final payment is due two weeks before your wedding.
-
Yes. The contract protects both of us, clearly outlining deliverables, timelines, and expectations, ensuring everything runs smoothly on your wedding day.
-
Definitely. I’m always happy to have a quick meet if local to Bristol or Zoom call before booking. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your photographer, as I’ll be with you for a big part of your day.
-
Absolutely. Every image is professionally edited in my signature style: warm, natural, and timeless. I spend as much time editing as I do photographing your day, ensuring every photo is the best it can be while staying true to the vibe of your wedding.
-
You’ll typically receive your fully edited images within 5–6 weeks during peak season. You’ll also receive a sneak peek within 48 hours so you’re not left waiting.
-
From a full-day wedding, you can expect around 400–600 fully edited images, depending on the length and flow of your day. Each photo captures moments from details to candid interactions.
-
You do. The images are yours to keep forever. I just ask permission to share a few favourites on my website or social media, but that’s entirely optional.
-
Yes. After your gallery is live, you can order albums, prints, frames, and more directly through the online gallery. Everything is produced by a high-end UK print lab for lasting quality.
-
Yes, please! Full-day weddings are long, and a hot meal keeps my energy up for the best dancefloor shots. Venues usually have a spot nearby for photographers. Without a meal, I may need to leave the venue to eat, which could mean missing important moments.
-
Yes. I always come fully prepared with professional backup cameras, lenses, batteries, and memory cards, so you can relax knowing nothing will be missed.
-
If it rains and you’re happy being outside, we’ll embrace it! Rain can add beautiful atmosphere and mood to your photos. I always come prepared to capture your day, whatever the weather.

When choosing a photographer, consider:
Style: Do you prefer documentary or traditional posed photos?
Experience: Have they photographed weddings like yours before?
Portfolio: Do you like their lighting, composition, and mood?
Reviews: Past client experiences show reliability and professionalism.
Packages & services: Full-day coverage, albums, engagement shoots, or videography?
Meeting your photographer beforehand is also a great way to see if you click.
-
Many couples prefer a single provider for a consistent style and smooth day. I can recommend trusted videographers or provide combined packages. Ask about coordination, pricing, and examples of past weddings with both services.
