Helpful Info from a Wedding Photographer with experience
How far do you travel?
There’s no limit! My petrol tank is full, my passport is ready.
All packages are based on weddings within 1 hour of central Bristol, but anything beyond that? No problemo - just pop me a message and I’ll get you a custom quote. I regularly photograph weddings in Somerset, the Cotswolds, Devon, South Wales and further afield.
Do you edit the photos?
Absolutely. Every single image is professionally edited in my signature style - warm, natural, and timeless. I spend just as long editing your photos as I do photographing the day itself, making sure they look their best while staying true to the mood, colours and vibe of your wedding.
When will our images be ready?
Typically within 3–4 weeks during peak wedding season - sometimes a little earlier, occasionally a touch later depending on workload. Either way, I’ll keep you in the loop. You’ll also receive a sneak peek within 48 hours so you’re not left waiting.
How much is the deposit?
The booking deposit is 10% of your chosen package. The rest can be paid in one go or spread out in instalments - whatever works for you. Final payment is due two weeks before your wedding day. The deposit is non-refundable.
Can we ask for specific photos?
YES. Please do!
Whether you’ve seen something on Pinterest, Google, or just had a flash of inspiration - send it over. I’m all for bringing your ideas to life and creating photos that you’ll love now and when you’re looking back in 50 years’ time.
Do we need to feed you at our wedding?
Short answer: yes, please.
Full-day weddings are long, and a hot meal goes a long way (and helps me keep my energy up for the dancefloor shots!). No need for a seat at your table, venues usually have a spot for me somewhere nearby. Without supplying a meal, it will mean I’ll head off site to get something which could mean I miss something important.
Who owns the photos?
You do. It’s your wedding, your memories.
I just ask for permission to share a few favourites on my website or social media - but that’s entirely up to you.
Do you offer wedding albums and prints?
Yes - everything is available directly through your online gallery. Once you receive your images, you’ll get access to a beautiful selection of albums, prints, frames and more, produced by a high-end UK-based print lab.
Do you offer half-day coverage or micro weddings?
Yes, I have shorter packages available for elopements and smaller celebrations. Just let me know what you’re planning and I’ll send over a bespoke quote.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings / multicultural weddings / alternative weddings?
A million times yes. Love is love.
However you’re celebrating, I’ll be there to document it naturally, respectfully, and joyfully - no assumptions, no expectations.
Can we meet before booking?
Definitely. I always happy to have a quick chat or Zoom call before booking - just to make sure we click. Your photographer is with you for a big chunk of your day, so it’s important you feel comfortable with me. It’s also a good chance to ask questions and talk through the flow of your day.
What is your photography style?
My style is relaxed and natural documentary wedding photography. I focus on capturing authentic moments as they unfold, telling the true story of your day without awkward posing or forced smiles. Expect warm, timeless images that feel genuine and full of emotion.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, I always come fully prepared with professional backup cameras, lenses, batteries, and memory cards. This means you can relax knowing your wedding day will be captured without a hitch, no matter what happens.
How many photos will we receive?
You’ll typically receive around 400–600 fully edited images from a full-day wedding coverage, depending on the length and flow of your day. Every photo tells part of your story, from details to candid moments and everything in between.
Can we get prints or albums after the wedding?
Absolutely. After you receive your digital gallery, you’ll have access to order high-quality prints, frames, and handcrafted albums directly through the online gallery. These are produced by a top UK-based print lab to ensure lasting quality.
Do you require a contract?
Yes, Upon paying the deposit you agree to the terms. This protects both of us by clearly outlining the details, deliverables, and expectations, so there are no surprises and everything runs smoothly.
What happens if you’re sick or can’t attend?
While I’ve never missed a wedding, if something unforeseen happens, I have a trusted network of professional photographers who can step in and cover your day with the same style and care. You’ll always be informed well in advance.
Can we add extra hours of coverage on the day?
Yes, additional hours can be added to your wedding photography package if your day runs longer or you want extra coverage. Just let me know as soon as possible so I can check availability and provide a quote.
