Hugh and Diana got married on 1st July. I arrived just before 11am to begin capturing the day from bridal prep through to the evening reception. The prep was chilled and happy – Diana and her bridesmaids were in great spirits, and the natural light in the barn’s prep space gave us some gorgeous, soft images to kick off the gallery.

Their ceremony took place at 1pm and was simple, heartfelt and full of emotion. The weather was kind – warm and bright but never too harsh – ideal for both the guests and the photography. One of the things I love about weddings at Kingscote Barn is how seamlessly everything flows. The team there were brilliant throughout, keeping things smooth without ever feeling rushed.

After the ceremony, we explored the grounds for a set of relaxed but elegant couple portraits. This part of the day is always a favourite of mine – a chance for the newlyweds to take a breath, have a laugh, and enjoy a quiet moment together. Kingscote Barn’s landscape offers stunning backdrops in every direction, and Hugh and Diana were so easy to photograph – completely in the moment and clearly loving it.

I also captured formal group shots with family and friends – natural, quick and full of warmth. I always aim to keep these as relaxed as possible so they don't interrupt the flow of the day, and they ended up being some of the couple’s favourites.

The reception was full of energy, and the details were spot-on. The food, supplied by Epic Catering, was absolutely exceptional – beautifully presented and incredibly well received by every guest I spoke to. Later in the evening, Prescott Entertainment brought great energy to the dancefloor and kept the party going well into the night.

I finished up just before 9pm, delivering a gallery of over 650 final wedding photos that told the full story of Hugh and Diana’s day from beginning to end. It was a joy to photograph – a warm, emotional, and genuinely fun wedding in one of the best Cotswolds wedding venues around.
