Summer Laughter and Big Celebration Energy

at The Great Tythe Barn

Ollie and Kirsty’s July wedding at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury, Gloucestershire was the perfect mix of beauty, energy and emotion. This venue is one of the Cotswolds’ most popular barns for good reason, with stone walls, mature gardens and on-site cottages giving couples and guests everything in one place.

I photographed the day from morning prep through to after the first dance. Prep was full of jokes and chaos in the cottages, with bridesmaids bringing the fun from the very start. That mood carried all the way through to confetti, drinks on the lawn and a packed barn full of guests ready to celebrate.

As a Great Tythe Barn wedding photographer, I love how the courtyards and gardens allow for relaxed portraits without pulling people away for long. Inside, the height and textures of the barn make speeches and first dance photographs feel cinematic without needing anything staged or posed.

The reception was loud, colourful and full of people who clearly adore the couple. By the time the dancefloor opened, guests were ready — it was one of those evenings where the barn shakes with applause and laughter.

For anyone planning a Cotswolds barn wedding or searching for a Tetbury wedding photographer, this gallery shows exactly why The Great Tythe Barn delivers the perfect setting for both big guest lists and emotive documentary photography.
